KCAA’s Round 2 Enrollment Event

KCAA’s Enrollment Event is required for students who are new applicants and those wishing to return to KCAA as a 6th or 9th grader. While attending the Enrollment Event students will be interviewed by our staff, participate in an arts activity, and complete a short writing sample.
What to bring:
- Completed Intent to Enroll form.
- Two sealed letters of recommendation if they have not been sent directly to the school in advance.
- Secondary students (grades 6-12): samples of your artwork that you would like to share with the interview committee. This could be an art piece you have created in any art form: music, dance, drama, or visual art. It could be a performance piece, a video or photograph of the artwork, or the artwork itself, to be presented and discussed during your interview with an art teacher.
Kindergarten only: students will go through a shortened simulated day of Kindergarten to help assess their readiness for school. Kindergarten bring a completed questionnaire and completed Intent to Enroll Form.
Prospective 3-5th graders will also complete a short interview and arts activity during the Enrollment Event.
Prospective 10th & 11th grade students: Please bring current transcripts in a sealed envelope, clearly labeled with your first and last name for review.
All new students interested in attending KCAA for the 2019-2020 as well as all current KCAA 5th & 8th grade students who wish to transition to middle or high school at KCAA MUST attend the enrollment event to be given top priority!
