Hi. I’m Erica Atchison and love teaching my kindergarten class. Is is so fun and rewarding. I grew up in Incline Village, Nevada, a small town on the the north shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe. I graduated from the University of Nevada in Reno and earned my masters degree from UNLV. I’v taught in Nevada, Arizona and now Colorado. I have a wonderful husband, James, and two very active dogs who love to run.
Hello! My name is Shelby Schulz and this is my first year teaching kindergarten at KCAA. I taught 1st grade in Colorado Springs for the previous 4 years. I am a Hope College graduate; majoring in special education and elementary education. After graduation, I moved from Michigan to Colorado for the mountains, sunshine and adventure! In my spare time I love camping, hiking, playing tennis and volleyball and going on road trips. This year has been extra exciting because I will be getting married this summer!
Why do I teach? I teach because…
I love kids, I believe all children can learn and I want to make a difference. I love light bulb moments, seeing students persevere and seeing students get fired up about learning new things!
